Australia - U21 Doubles

Format of Croquet Australia Under 21 GC Doubles by Kate Patrick

This year the under 21 doubles are being played as a round robin Best of 2, with each pair playing two consecutive games against each other pair. Matches are shown as won when a pair wins both games.

The winning pair is determined by matches, games and then hoops, in that order. In the case of an equality on all three measures the winner is based on the result of the match between the equal pairs. If they are still level the Tournament Manager is responsible for setting a tie breaker.

Generally games are untimed, but when a game is making very slow progress at the one hour mark the referee has discretion to impose a time limit of a further 15 minutes. Play stops at the end of the fifteen minutes unless scores are level, in which case play continues till the next hoop is scored.
