CNZ Women’s AC Invitation Event Fri 14th to Sun 16th Nov 2025 incl.
Hi all,
Congratulations on being selected for the CNZ Women’s AC Invitation Event. On behalf of the Wellington Croquet Association and the Paraparaumu Croquet Club I would like to welcome you and we are looking forward to some exciting croquet.
This is a Tier 2 event, reference Appendix 5 page 300 of the CNZ 2025/26 Year book

Location:
1 Scaife Drive, Mazengarb reserve / Mazengarb Rd.
Parking:
(Please be aware that construction work is being carried out adjacent to the club rooms and parking directly outside the club maybe disrupted - and parking adjacent to the park entrance is advised).
Time:
Please arrive by 8am on Friday 14th Nov for a brief welcome before play. Play to begin at 8.30am, or sooner if appropriate. starting times for the Sat/Sun will be advised during the tournament. A five-minute warm up practise at the start of each day.
Lawns and Practise:
The lawns will be set on Thur afternoon and will be available for practise from 1 - 4pm, using the old hoop holes (with our lawn mowing to take place from 4pm. Please advise if you intend to come and practise on the Thursday.
Draw and Games:
The tournament will be played as a single round robin with one block of eight. On Friday three rounds are scheduled to be played with the remaining four rounds to be played on Sat/Sun (all times dependant on the weather and progress of play).
The time limit, for games will be three hours with Law 61 applying.
The winner of the tournament, will be determined using the net point method ref CNZ Tournament Regulation 20.7.4.2,
In the net-point method the winner is the player in the tie who has scored the largest net points total. The net points total for each player is the number of points scored less the number of points conceded. If there is a tie on wins and net points totals,
between two players, the winner is the winner of the game tetween them (who beat who); or
betweeen more than two players, the winner is the winner of the most games in the games between the players in the tie. If there is still a tie, the winner is found by means of a play-off.
We will be using all four lawns so there willl be no need for double banked games.

Officials:
I will be the tournament manager and Graeme Roberts is the tournament referee.
The appeals committee comprises, Graeme Roberts, John Robertson and one of the players where appropriate.
Catering:
A club house fee of $5 per day will be payable. Lunch will not be speciffically provided however we may be able to provide bread rolls and fruit if required. (Please advise the manager prior).
Other:
If there is interest from players we will look at organising dinner on the Saturday night. Please let me know whether you would like to join.

Please advise the manager of your travel arrangements for the last day (i.e timings of any flights that you may have to catch at the end of play).
