On Day 1 we attempted to meet the standard hoop width for a World Championship: as near as possible to 0.8 mm (1/32"). Yesterday evening, as allowed by WCF Sports Regulation 8.1.2, Jeff and Cheryl (the TM and TR) have agreed to consider the conditions "difficult", and to increase the maximum clearance to 1.6 mm (1/16") for the remainder of the Block Stage.

The main Knock Out Stage will return to the 0.8 mm standard. We will make a decision later in the week as to the standard for each consolation event.
