The Open Champs was contested by 14 players, playing in two groups, the players played a round robin with the top two players from each group playing cross over semi-finals. The winners played out the final. Semi-finalist were Malcolm Hutchins vs Roger Bray and Hamish Anderson vs Cherie Hawkins. Malcolm and Hamish won their semi's with Hamish winning the final.
