CNZ Women’s AC Invitation Event
16 - 17 November 2024
Hi all,
Congratulations on being selected for the CNZ Women’s AC Invitation Event. On behalf of the Wairarapa Croquet Association and the Masterton Croquet Club I would like to welcome you and we are looking forward to some great croquet.
Below please find detailed information about the event. Should you have any questions/comments about any aspect of the tournament please do not hesitate to contact me before the tournament either by email (stefan.horrer@mac.com) or by phone (027 580 3158), and once here just grab me.
Location:
Masterton Croquet Club Queen Elizabeth Park
Time:
Please arrive at 8am on Saturday 16 November for a brief welcome before play. Play to begin at 8.30am on Saturday with a five-minute warm up practise at the start of each day. Start time for Sunday will be advised on Saturday.
Lawns and Practise:
The lawns will be set on Friday morning and are expected to be available for practise from 2pm. Please advise if you intend to come and practise on Friday and what time, so that I don’t pack up and leave before you get there.
Draw and Games:
The tournament will be played as a single round robin with one block of six. On Saturday three games are scheduled to be played with the remaining two games to be played on Sunday.
The time limit for games will be three hours with Law 61 applying.
Section placings will be determined using Regulation 20.7.4.2, except if there are two players on equal wins topping the block. In that case a ‘Final’ between the two players will be played. Should there be three players on equal wins topping the block Regulation 20.7.4.2 will apply.
We will be using two lawns so some games will be double banked. The draw will require four players to double three times while two players will have to double bank four times.

Officials:
I will be the tournament manager as well as the tournament referee.
The appeals committee comprises Vince Neall, Grant Poulton and Robin Brasell.
Catering:
A club house fee of $5 per day will be payable. Lunch will not be provided however there are multiple options nearby if you are not bringing your own lunch.
Other:
If there is interest from players we will look at organising dinner on the Saturday night. Please let me know whether you would like to join.
