The Agnes Dick held this year at the home of the lady who gave the tournament its name had 4 pairs entered. The tournament was played as a single block followed by a playoff final. In block play the Cashmere pair of Gay Jones and Janet Evans won all of their games and the runners-up were Jono Hart (St James) and Teresa Ponsonby (Waimate). They met in the final. With time called and the balls scattered by Gay and Janet, Teresa hit a long roquet and managed 3 further hoops for her side to draw level. Gay missed another long roquet and Teresa finished with the "golden" hoop for the win.
