In order to accommodate players who didn't want to miss transport on Monday, the final day of the event, the first round of play scheduled for Monday was moved back to Sunday evening, and the two remaining rounds moved earlier. Then the contestants decided they wanted the final to go to a second game if the finalist coming up out of the 2nd Life knockout beat the unbeaten winner of the 1st Life knockout, so that only one player would remain without two losses. Luckily, the finalists played quickly enough to help everyone get to the airport or the ferry dock in good time.
The first game on Monday was between Steve Scalpone, dropping out of the 1st Life knockout in that knockout's final, and the last remaining player in the 2nd Life knockout, Rich Lamm. Steve took Rich down 26-4. Then Steve, with one loss, faced Brian Cumming, lossless, in the final. Again, Steve prevailed, 26-9, leaving both players with one loss and the need for one more game. Brian pulled ahead toward the end, but once again, Steve's accuracy with long shots kept him alive, and he went around to peg out 26-23.
