This tournament should have been contested by 4 teams - Iran, Czech Republic, Mexico and Portugal. Unfortunately, three of the nominated Iran team were unable to travel. To preserve the pattern of the tournament as three test matches in three days, the WCF sanctioned the creation of a fourth team in place of the official Iran team to compete “hors concours”. The team was made up of the remaining member of the Iran team, Omied Hallam, captaining a selection of players from the host club, Guildford and Godalming.
