Welcome to the Golf Croquet Top 10 and Second Top 10 Invitations that will be held at Nelson Hinemoa Croquet Club from 18 – 20 November 2022. Congratulations to all of you for being selected.

The format, general information, and catering are included in this letter. If you have questions, please let me know.

Format: The format for the Invitations is based on giving the full tournament play for all competitors.
• Blocks are seeded.
• Each event will play a Best of 3.
• There will be 3 matches each day.
• No time limits, unless needed
• The Top 10 will play on lawns 1 – 4.
• Second Top 10 will play on lawns 6 – 9.
• There will be one lawn for each event double banked.
• Winner will be determined by the number of match wins. If there is a tie, then it will be net games and then net hoops.

General Information:
• Practice on the respective lawns will be available on Thursday, 17 November from 2 – 5 pm. Additional times may be arranged with the Manager.
• Please be sure to bring your AHS cards.
• Report to the respective club by 8:15 am for an 8:30 start each day.
• 5 minute warm up at the beginning of each day.
• There is an Appeals Committee.
• All games will be posted on Croquet Scores. This information will be posted in the “Commentary” section of Croquet Scores. If there are updates, they will also be posted.
• Closing ceremony for all awards will be held after the events are finished.

Catering:
• A $5 per day per player fee is paid directly to the Club for morning and afternoon teas and use of club room.
• Morning and afternoon teas will be served starting at 9:30 am until play is finished each day. Tea and coffee will be available from 8:15 onwards. Gluten free and vegetarian options will be served with prior request.
• If you have food request, please let the manager know in advance.
• A list of lunches for purchase will be sent by email a couple of days before the Invitations.
