Australia - AC Open Doubles

Format by Peter Freer

AC Tournaments is still working on the final draws but the format will be similar to that used in 2016 (one less block game) & 2018 (more players):

One modified block of 14 where everyone plays 5 games against opponents of approximately the same strength.
At the end of 5 rounds (4 on Sat and 1 Sun morning), the top 8 pairs (based on matches won then net hoops) will proceed to a Bo3 knockout.
Quarter finals and hopefully the first game of the semi finals to be completed on Sunday.
Remaining semi games and final to be played on Monday.
The 6 teams that don’t make the quarter finals, can play a round robin (or other format if pairs withdraw).
