The Qualifier playoffs are in progress. Everyone who wins still has a chance of making it into the World Championships. The playoffs are a series of knockout games based on the WCF Regulations but modified to establish a block order in each block down to position six. This allows us, using additional cross block playoffs, to provide seven qualifiers and another five in merit order should more players be required for the World Championship

In Block A Barry beat Roger and is now playing Andrew. The winner becomes No 1 in their resolution group. The loser will play Roger to establish positions 2 and 3 in the group. These positions will become positions 4, 5, and 6 in Block A in the inter block playoff.

In Block B Greg beat Gail. Gail becomes position 5 in the resolution group and is now in position 7 in Block B and will miss the inter-block playoff. Greg joins the three MAPs Tom, Sue and Chris in a four person random draw knockout to establish positions 1 to 4 in the resolution group. They will occupy positions 3 to 6 in Block B. Position 3 qualifies and positions 4, 5 and 6 in Block B will play positions 4, 5, and 6 in Block A in the inter block playoff.
