The number of qualifying places from this tournament is now 5. Therefore the format for the second day after completion of the initial block phase has been changed.

The top 2 players in each block will automatically qualify for the World Championships. They will play a full knockout of best-of-3 matches for final positions in the tournament.

The next 3 players in each block (positions 3-5 in block) will play a 5-round block of single games to establish overall positions 5 to 10.

The remaining 7 players will play for the remaining positions.

Positions will be decided by wins then net points (NZ Regulation 27.7.4.2).
