Spring GC Tournaments @ United
Spring GC HANDICAP tournament - Sunday 15 September by Jenny Clarke by Jenny Clarke
Hi everyone,
Welcome to the United Spring Golf Croquet Handicap tournament. This event will be played on Sunday 15 September.
8am arrival please:
We’ll start taking entry fees and checking that all are arrived from 8am. Please also put your current handicap card on the clubhouse table and ensure you update it after each game. The lawns will be open for a warmup from 8.20, for an 8.30am start.
The event will consist of four blocks, and will have TWO winners. We have a full roster 24 players. At the end of block play, the Blue block winner will draw a colour to see who Blue block plays against (1st v 1st, 2nd v 2nd, etc), and the other two blocks will also play off down the line. This means that everyone will get 6 games on Sunday.
All lawns will be in use and all lawns will be double banked. Please be considerate of other games in play. All games will have a time limit of 1hour and 10 minutes.
Block allocations are on CroquetScores at: https://croquetscores.com/2019/gc/spring-tournament-united/
The first-round games and lawn allocations are: (those starting second, please wait until the first game has got to hoop 3 before commencing)

The tournament entry fee ($15 for non-United members, $10 for United members, $25 for those non-United members playing in both events who pay at the first event by 9am) includes clubhouse fee, and a wide variety of nibbles will be available all day. BYO lunch, as there won’t be time to head out between games.
There will be prizes, sponsored by Margaret Stoddart Retirement Villages.
The long range forecast is for a very cold start and possibly some precipitation – please come adequately prepared.
I look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday morning and hope you have a very enjoyable tournament.
