Dorset Open GC Championship

Format by Jonathan Powe

Hello everyone. Looking forward to seeing you at the weekend. Play will start at 0930 on Saturday. Player briefing at 0915. Expect to play 7 games on Saturday. We may start at 9am on Sunday.

I have done the draw for the blocks based on everyone’s grade at 8am on Fri 5 Jul. We have 16 players, so the format for the weekend will be two all-play-all blocks (7 rounds) on Saturday followed by a knockout and plate block on Sunday. The top 4 players in each block will qualify for the knockout. Losing quarter-finalists (5-8) will go into a Y knockout. There will playoffs for 3rd/4th and 7th/8th. All matches in the knockout will be best-of-3.

No time limits throughout, although I reserve the right to impose a time limit if matches become delayed.
