I am just by lawn 4 where Death v Carter will be starting soon.

Mulliner v Suter is on lawn 5. I saw Mulliner fail 2, but he's back in with the first break.

On lawn 1 Avery is 1-0 up v Maugham, break each in the second.
On lawn 2 Bamford had a TP in the first, and was on a sextuple in the second. He failed 3-back with 3 peels done. Chapman now going round.

These matches are best-of-3, superAdvanced.

Mulliner is round to 4-back.

We're off on lawn 4. Carter Yellow to E bdry, 12y N of 4th corner
Death Blue shoots from B-baulk, missing to 5y N of 4th corner.
Carter Red hits Blue from A-baulk, croquet stroke sees Red off lawn 3y S of Yellow.

T4 Death Black shoots from B-baulk, rushes Yellow off S bdry. Yellow to 3, no rush on Red. Blue is 9y S of 2.
Big roll leaves Black a bit short of Blue. Rush to 1 is over-cut. Now take-off approach from 4y. 4' hoop, slightly angled. Strokes it through.

Death Blue runs hoop 3 into Red. Then rush-peels Black thru 4-back. So no hoop 5 pioneer. Makes 4 off Yellow.

Death jawses rover peel after 3-back. Doesn't get rush on other ball (Red), roll puts Red at most a yard in from the end of B-baulk. Blue makes 4-back and penult off Yellow, rushes Yellow back to B-baulk, croquets Yellow near peg getting rush on Red. Black still in jaws of rover. Trivial irish peel. Rushes Red toward west bdry, good take-off to get rush on Yellow.

Death wins game 1 +26tp.

Game 2 Carter Yellow bounces off hoop 5 to 2y NE of hoop, not the best spot for rushing to hoop 1.

Red is left near 4th corner, Blue 8y N of 1st corner, Yellow 3yE of 2nd corner, Black in 3rd corner.

T5 Carter lifts Yellow to Black, takes off to Red, takes off to Blue, goes off the lawn 1y S of Blue.

T6 Death Blue makes 1 off Yellow, then rushes Yellow into 3rd corner. Makes 2 off Black. Red is still just N of 4th corner, but Death still attempts 4-back peel after 3. Peel fails, Yellow is rushed off 3y N of Red. Yellow croqueted behind 4, Red rushed then croqueted to 5. Makes 4 and rushes Yellow to 3rd corner.

Mulliner missed lift, Suter finishes to win game 1 +17.

Death Blue now rushing Black to rover from 2y S of penult. Misses peg, has 7' straightish peel. Black hits both wires, finishes 1" in front of hoop. Half-jump sees Blue and Black off S bdry!

Death gave himself a cheer for that half-jump. He's still not finished. Has 4y "rush" on Red, Yellow is near penult. Rush on Yellow to 4 or 5y E of Black. Good take-off!

Instead Carter has ignored Blue in 2nd corner, Black is in middle of W bdry, Red and Yellow between 1 and 2 with rush for Red to Black.

Death lifts Black to B-baulk, "rushes" Yellow near 1st corner. Take-off to Red is short, rushes it into B-baulk. Take-off to Blue does not yield rush. Maximum length peg-out attempt!

Blue not close to peg, ends up 3y ESE of 4. Black gives himself rush to peg.

Carter has 23-yarder to stay in the match.

My expert reckons Suter failed rover peel before 3-back (or failed to get posi for it). He's in good shape for straight triple peel.
