CNZ North Island AC Champs

Formats for Open Singles and Plate by Michael Hardman

The block play component will consist of 4 blocks of 4 players playing 3 rounds on the Friday. The time limit for Block Play games will be 3 hours.

The top 2 in each block will qualify for the knockout phase. The remaining 2 in each block will go into the Plate. Both these will start on Saturday morning.

Knockout play will consist of best-of-3 match play. These matches will have cumulative time limits of 3/5.5/8 hours. First Round KO losers and losing semifinalists will continue as best-of-3 match play for final positions.

The Plate contestants will be split into 2 sections of 4 on Saturday playing 3 rounds. The top 2 in each Plate section will go into a Super-Section to determine places 9-12 and the bottom 2 into a Super-Section to determine places 13-16 (both groups will carry forward one result each from Saturday to Sunday, so 2 rounds on Sunday).
