Jose hit and went round round 4th turn against Samir with his normal tactics going to 3b peeling Samir to 1 and 3. Samir played a brilliant take off across the lawn to get a rush on a boundary ball, but it proved only enough to fail 3. Jose started a quad, but got down to a ragged straight double. Eventually with the peelee a foot though rover, no deep ball and a ball left behind near the peg, Jose opted to run the hoop into the peelee rather than jump and have a 9 yard return. He then played a great touch shot to put partner between the ball at the pag and the peg and successfully made the combination peg out.

I beat Dave +24 QP in a game where Dave made a 5 yard hoop 1 and hit a 30 yarder, but also failed a couple of 3 yard shots at hoop 2.

I didn't catch much of Christian's win over James, just enough to see Christian hit a lift and finish from 2b and penultimate.

Stephen notched up another win against Gavin.
