MacRobertson Shield
NZ vs USA Day 2 Preview by Jarrod Coutts
USA hold a 2-1 lead over NZ and have confidence going into day 2. Today all 3 NZ teams are on the same side of the lawns. Matches are as follows;
It is significantly windier today - how much will that affect the players? Still barely a cloud in the sky and we are expecting the weather to be even hotter over the next few days.
Lawn 5: Shilling and Hogan vs Morgan and Huneycutt
Shilling and Hogan didn't get to take croquet yesterday, while Morgan and Huneycutt made the most era's out of the USA teams yesterday so I'm expecting this to be a more interactive match than the other two.
Lawn 6: Garrison and Hakes vs Soo and Lawrence
Soo and Lawrence nearly had a perfect match yesterday, while the Kiwi pair made a few errors. Can the USA team continue their good form, or will the Kiwi's bounce back?
Lawn 7: Chapman and Clarke vs Rothman and Maloof
On paper, this should be the strongest match of the round. Rothman and Maloof played very well yesterday, so Chapman and Clarke will need to play well to continue their unbeaten run.
