There were no significant interruptions to play due to rain on Day 2: it rained, yes, but not sufficiently to clear the courts.

We saw the first triples of the competition, both of which involved Jonathan Lamb.
He refuses to enter his comments directly, but he has given me his description of the two peeling turns, which I reproduce here with thanks:
Lamb's TP v Jolliff
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Failed 4-back TPO peel and gave up
Later tried TP - failed 4-back peel but peelee stayed in front of hoop
Bashed it through after 5 and rolled it to penult
Failed penult peel after 6
Failed death roll after 1-back
Failed death roll after 2-back
Failed long peel after 4-back
Did straight peel before penult
Rushed peelee to rover and tried peel but jawsed it
Bombarded it through but went to side of rover
Had to try hampered long shot to ball near peg
Hit it and took off back to rover
Got through but hit peelee
Pegged out from behind rover
Had large drink
Vincent's TP v Lamb
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Did TP
Bought Lamb large drink
I spoke to Tim Jolliff following Jonathan's TP and Tim confirmed, with a big smile on his face, that it was "very entertaining"

Tomorrow will see the last round of block games, and to decide the winners and runners-up we will then probably need to finish at least some of the games that were pegged down during Friday's deluge (we have done a few already). Each Winner will play the other block's runner up in semi-finals, followed by the final.
