Lawn 1 , lawns slowed up a bit from yesterday and the hoops while firm dont appear to be set as tight- might be a good thing as we finished at 11pm last night, but also had the danger of turning the final matches into a shooting contest , hopefully not the case .

Both players playing well , Alison's roquet has probably been more consistent as is her break play than Jimmy this weekend , but Jimmy has been scrambling well and is never out of the contest - whereas Ali best game is when she gets the early jump on players

Jimmy playing pink 10.5 yards nth cnr 4 east boundary, Ali standard west boundary tice 16.5 yards nth cnr 1, Jimmy shooting from cnr 1 - crappy boundary and the ball bounces along missing by a foot to the right , narrow miss from Ali from a baulk - Jimmy shoots from cnr 2 ish misses into cnr 1 , Ali rushes but misses cannon by 2 yards - stop shots her self nth hoop 1 and has a cnr 1 load and hold , falls wide and short , protects the 12 yarder .
Jimmy misses , Ali hits the 2 yarder and plays a good load to hoop 2 and a short rush to hoop 1 , no rush out of hoop 1 , but should be a break to 4 back easily enough

Ali's rush after hoop 2 sits on the leg of hoop 5 , appears she cant do much but take off to hoop 3 load, means no load at hoop 4 ( Callum suggests she could of taken off to the east boundary ball and thick take off back to hoop 3 load ) she coped with all quite well, runs hoop 4 , hoop 5 load nth and 4 yards east , break back on track , but hoop 6 load 6 yards short

Ali, has a tough 2 back run , clips off maybe jumping ... plays it perfect and still gets a rush to the very short 3 back load .
Ali sets a NSL , pink a foot nth of hoop 4 , maybe a good target from A baulk , white ball is well placed west boundary 12 yards sth cnr 2 and 1.5 yards from the line, Ali splits her brown ball east boundary to protect the short a baulk shot, while putting green ( hoop 1 ball ) into cnr 4 - good break with lots of nice recovery shots

jimmy hits from hoop 4 into cnr 4 , takes off to east boundary ball , plays it well and has a mangable cut rush to the West boundary ball, loads hoop 2 and rushes1 yard nth hoop 1

Jimmy has a delicate takeoff to hoop 2 , hoop 3 load 8 yards short , plays it well as he could , but misses a 2.5 foot slight angled hoop 2 - Ali's brown ball ( 4 back ) looks like it only has a smidge to hit , calls ref - maybe running hoop to hit it? , does so very well and should now be able to set a good attacking leave - croquets pink 1 yard east of hoop 2 gets a rush on white to east boundary , loads white to directly 2 yards south of hoop 1 going to her cnr 4 ball , does not roll up mid point of east boundary , but sets a single ball rush to hoop 1.

Is Jimmy running hoop ?

nope , shoots at the single ball target in cnr 4 , misses narrowly into the cnr

good rush to hoop 1 from Ali , runs hoop , has hampered shot , looks easy enough except has 4 + yards to travel , plays it well and has a delayed tp in front of her - Ali's tp ball movement has been great the last 12 montsh and has well adjusted plays to cope with the firm atkins hoops we have had here in NSW the last 18 months and knowing Ali , this will really butter her parsnips to have another good peeling challenge ahead of her

Ali has tight set up at 4back, rush to hoop 6, runs hoop 5 and jags the perfect rush on white - not played for , more wire than any other hoop she has ran , but a welcome bit of grab, stands aside while Robert is also at 4back and needs to peel penult

Ali , stop shot peel at 4 back from 2 feet , goes through clean , nice rush to hoop 6 , but clangs hoop 6 , looks like she was trying to control it , and babied the shot

Jimmy hits the 5 yarder on Ali's peelee, loads hoop 4 and hits green loads hoop 3 and has a nice set up after running hoop 2

on the plate matches , Mike Hughes v Ted salter , Mike 4back and 5 , Ted is 4back and peg with a break ahead .

Trevor bassett v Josh wilson , Trev is 4 back and 2 , Josh is 4 back and 3

Jimmy sticks in hoop 3 , next to Ali's hoop 6 ball

constructs a break and plays 1 back with good control to rush brown into peeling position, oops decides to send brown to rover , has break nicely under control and maybe just taking it to the peg

Ted beats mike 26-12 , Ted gets Rosie in next rnd of the plate

Ali has a 1.5 yard take off to rover , directly behind hoop , plays it well and runs a 1 foot slight angled hoop , hits the 5 yard return roquet and is setting a DS spread , needs a good croquet shot to get the white away from penult , plays it well and has a decision to make to either try to get the peg wiring - miss it and leave the pink and white 11.5 yards apart or make it an OSL , which she elects do do , setting up cnr 4 1 ayard apart .
Alan Walsh the OSL master is nodding in agreement that Ali took that option

Jimmy shoots with his peg ball from where it lays at Ali's balls in cnr 4 (17+ yards) v 13 yards , hits and has a break running from hoop 1 and is up to 1 back with good control

jimmy makes 3 back and has set brown ( Ali's penult ball ) near the peg ( 2 feet SE) , green is 8 yards south cnr 2 and 2 yards from boundary , pink and white level with hoop 4 and rush facing brown as a single ball

Ali looks at the target , maybe a ball and a bit v shooting from A baulk , lifts brown to A baulk shoots soft and edges the pink ball

Ali does not get rush to penult sets on west boundary , Jimmy hits big shot from level hoop 4 east boundary , and Ali has loaded his hoop 3 as a reward, .... aargh Jimmy sticks in a 6 inch hoop

Ali hits from hoop 4 to free ball near hoop 3 , makes a wide cross wiring at penult and and sets a rush on west boundary 7 yards nth cnr 1

Jimmy hits from penult with white ( 4back ) 21 mins on clock,

Ali is doing a Brighton & Hove , great front runner but once the lead slips struggling with playing too conservative v getting it wrapped up .

Jimmy makes the three hoops , tough leave with random balls , leaves brown next to rover , places green 3 yards NE of the peg , looks wired from brown , misses 5 yards at himself 11 yards sth cnr 3

Ali lifts brown shoots from b baulk , gappy looking double and ends up going through the middle of it into cnr 4

Jimmy for hoop 4 and plays a nice take off into cnr 4 , cruel roll but makes a very good cut , has a layed break to the peg .

Jimmy through 3 back and everything looks well loaded ahead of him ( 3% battery)
