It is unseasonably cold here, downright winter temperatures in the high 40s. Gusts of wind up to 25 miles per hour are making placement shots very difficult. This year's play for the champion flight are being played with the super hoops introduced by Danny Hunycutt. These wickets are very unforgiving on jump shots with very few successful jumps yesterday. So, far today, Cheryl Bromley, having played the last of the block games earlier today, leaped ahead of Robert Fulford 7-6 when Robert failed on a jump at wicket 12. Leo McBride stay ahead of David McCoy 7-5 and Ian Harshman had an easy first game against Johnny Mitchell 7-4.
Bromley has taken a 3-0 lead over Fulford. Robert just missed a 25 yard stroke on wicket 4. Cheryl rolled up in front with black. Robert cleared her with yellow from 20 yards.

Robert just tied the second game with two masterful shots. On a seven yard clearing at 1-back he scored. On the next go round he cleared Cheryl's four footer in front of two-back from 22 yards and scored the hoop. Just amazing shooting to get back in the game. Cheryl just missed a two yard clearing at 3-back to go behind for the first time this game.

Sharif won his first match with a forfeit by Mike Gibbons.

The Semi Finals have started with Leo McBride playing Robert Fulford and Sharif Abdelwahab playing Ian Harshman. Harshman was pressed into the tournament at the last minute to cover a drop out. He struggled with his swing losing his first four games. Once he got control he won his last three to earn the fifth seed. He knocked out Johnny Mitchell which earned him the first opportunity to beat Sharif, who has gone undefeated in this event.

Sharif had an easy time with Ian Harshman winning 7-2, 7-3. Ian has come a long way for a yearling, we expect to see him winning one of these in the next couple of years. Now if we can get him to play overseas......
In the first game of the other semi-finals Leo McBride played give and take with Robert Fulford winning 7-6. They are just starting the second game.
Meanwhile in the B Block Susan Fulford and Matthew Harders have just started their third game.

Fulford came back in game two against Leo McBride 7-2 to event the match. Currently, they have stopped play for a bit of lunch. In the B Block, Susan Fulford knocked out Matthew Harders 7-4, 6-7, 7-6. Next for Susan is Gerald Shugar in the semi final. On the other side Bill Daigle will take on Russell Dilley, they have just started.

Robert Fulford has won the Steuber Prize in Golf Croquet 7-2, 7-0 besting Sharif Abdelwahab.
